Written by Graham Kendrick – The true quality & depth of our love for god will to a very great degree be evidenced by the quality and depth of our worship.
It is easy to walk into church on a Sunday and lift our hands and become so involved emotionally in worship, and then leave and normal life kicks back in, you remember all that is going on and begin to worry about everything again, so then my questions is, Is worship something that just takes place on a Sunday??? No, Is it just singing, clapping and the lifting of our hands??? No. Worship is the act of everything we do from the minute we wake up to the minute we go to sleep again. Every decision we make is either glorifying to God, or to the enemy. I have a couple of examples.
Example 1. (Choice) I was shopping with my two young son's, along my path I found a $5 note, the question arises straight up, am I going to wait in a long line of people just to hand this piddly amount of money in, or am I just going to pocket it? Almost everything in me just wanted to pocket it and be done with it, but I felt like God was saying is that what I would do, ouch aye. You see if I had of pocketed the money I would have been glorifying the enemy cos that's his game, the word says he's here to kill, steel and destroy so by taking it, that's exactly what it would have been doing because even though it had been dropped it still wasn't mine I would have done as the enemy would do, so by choosing to hand it in I was glorifying/worshiping God because that's what he would have done..
Example 2. (Attitude) We are faced with this everyday weather it be at work, in the supermarket, or at home. I myself are a shocking morning person, and my attitude quite easily can make or break the morning atmosphere in my home, so something I have to be aware of is what I say in my grumpy waking up period, it is very easy to offend and discourage someone when your not feeling happy or on top of things, but God says in all thing to be glorifying him, so this is in speech, deed, and thought.
By choosing to do it God's way we are worshiping/glorifying him, and taking a stand against the enemy and his way of doing things.
Graham Kendrick – The genuineness of worship can not be measured by decibels of sound, and although it is vital that we express our love for God vocally, he looks to see the evidence in our lives, which in my opinion is choosing to do things God's way...
