But the truth is, I would still listen to the CD. I don't know (and neither do you) whether this man sought forgiveness from God and his wife for those transgressions, but I do not think I asked what we look at him holistically as a "role model." My role model is Jesus. My point is, despite his failures in his marriage, he has always tried to encourage a positive self-image for African-Americans. Currently he's using rap as a means to speak about great women in history, the necessity of fathers in the home, and the importance of social responsibility. He's not even rapping, he just put the project together. It's a noteworthy effort to speak to the youth who are obviously spiritually torn.

Kirk Franklin committed infidelity, I'd still listen to his music.
King David committed infidelity, I still read his passages in scripture.
