I have a confession to make that I’m proud of…I’m from the Bronx, NY and I’ve never been to a game at the Garden…..Hello? Is anyone still reading this? Ah, you’re still here, right? Thanks for not judging.
Last night was my first game: Atlanta Hawks v. Phoenix Suns. It was decent. The three-pointer Jamal Crawford hit to win the game was straight from ESPN, but I was there and it looked better in person.
They gave Dominic Wilkins a cake for his 50th birthday that just passed. I couldn’t get a good flick of him, but I’ll post what I have. At least you can see his profile. It’s something, right?
I have a few more flicks of people on the floor. Two of them look familiar, but I want to find out who they are, so I can say, “Here’s a flick of….” Instead of saying, “I know he looks familiar; any help?”
The game was cool. I went with a bunch of brothers from the church. I met two new brothers and put them in my phone. (You know what I mean.) It was a better experience because of the fellowship.
Deitrick Haddon performed for the after-game concert. This brother is blessed!
One of the brothers I met said he’d share his Haddon CDs. The Spirit definitely spoke to me through song. Yeah, I cried, but I did it in Jesus’ name.
So, as usual, our Lord reveals what He wants, when He wants. On January 15th, in Atlanta, surrounded by a multitude of bi-racial couples and families, I watched my first game with a bunch of brothers in Christ. Afterward, me, the brothers and many of those bi-racial couples and families all praised God together with the anointed music of Deitrick Haddon.
Coincidence? I don’t think so.
I call it Bounty.
